「かつて訪れた山の版画を集めた小さなZINEを作りたいとずっと考えていました。コロラド州ガンニソン郡が新型コロナウィルスの蔓延による外出禁止令を出した時、このZINEのアイディアを実現しなければと思いました。コロナ禍にまつわる憂鬱なニュースを見るたび、仕事や家族に何が起こるのかと不安になります。だからこそ、ZINEを作ることは、不安の穴から抜け出し、自分を強制的に創造的であり続けるための方法になりました。しかし、ほとんどの人と同じように、私もまだニュースを追いかけ、将来は見通せません」ジョン・フェローズ
